As a Deepavali treat to Ajith fans, an official announcement was made on Friday that the actor would be doing a sequel to ‘Billa’, which will be produced by Suresh Balaji, son of legendary producer Balaji who made the original ‘Billa’ starring Superstar Rajinikanth.

And joining hands with Ajith will be director Vishnuvardhan, cinematographer Nirav Shah, music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and editor Sreekar Prasad, the same team which remade ‘Billa’ in 2007.

“The film will start where the first part ended. It will be more racy and riveting than Billa as Vishnuvardhan is keen at repeating the magic. Style will be an important factor in the sequel too,” sources say.

A few other big companies will join forces with Suresh Balaji in making the film. “It will be a grand film on the lines of Dhoom-2 and Superstar Rajinikanth is expected to attend the launch function which is to take place soon,” sources add.
